Hydre Éditions — named after the mythical Hydra, the seven-headed dragon whose heads grow back when cut off — is a multilingual publishing house founded in Luxembourg in 2012. We draw their logotype, defined four distinct collections and designed over forty books since their creation.
These covers are part of their Shorts/Courts collection, recognizable by their light blue covers combining playful lettershapes (in Fedra Bold) to a more rigid editorial structure, set in Amalia (both from typothèque). The designs are inspired by the titles and the texts. Typography and shapes are serious and playful, like this young publisher committed to en emerging generation of authors.
