The Book Project traces the journey of the Arc Majeur, the most monumental work by artist Bernar Venet, rising over the E411 motorway in Belgium.
Generously illustrated, the book reveals the design and manufacturing process of the imposing Corten steel forms, highlighting the key stages of the project, ranging from the initial sketches in 1985 to the construction on site by skilled workers in 2019.
The 25 first copies of the book are part of a special box set along with the original engineer plans and a workers’s glove worn during the manufacture of the Arc Majeur. The Boxed sets are numbered from 1 to 25 and signed by the artist.
